Following is a list of known components in active Aloe Vera and the beliefs in regard to their influence on human health based on studies to date.
Polysaccharides
Polysaccharides are complex sugars. Relative to other foods, Aloe Juice contains an extremely high level of broad spectrum polysaccharides.
Polysaccharides help to reduce and stabilise blood sugar levels.
Polysaccharides assist in reducing coagulation of blood platelets, making it harder for them to build up in artery walls.
Polysaccharides aid in lowering blood pressure and increasing coronary artery capacity.
Polysaccharides have anti-coagulant and anti-inflammatory properties, which support joint and muscle mobility and assist in delaying degenerative and other diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes type 2, rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
Saccharides
Also known as complex carbohydrates, these are responsible for controlling the energy in cells, as well as providing structural integrity. This means that when taken orally, saccharides line the gut and form a complex barrier, helping to defend the body's system against disease.
When taken from the fresh aloe vera plant, saccharides are a potent building block in the body's immune system defence.
Amino Acids
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are essential to the healthy functioning of the body. Aloe Vera is known to provide 20 of 22 amino acids required by the human body.
Polypeptides
Amino acids are crucial to the healthy functioning of the body. When a group of Amino Acids attach, they're referred to as polypeptides. Active aloe vera contains at least 23 polypeptides that help to stimulate the immune system.
Acemannon
The subject of ongoing scientific study, acemannon is being researched on its ability to strengthen the body's natural resistance and aid the immune system.
Aloe Vera helps to improve the overall appearance and suppleness of the skin through fibroblasts, also known as cells or corpuscles. Acemannon stimulates fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin, helping the skin look and feel the best it can.
Vitamins
Aloe Vera contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, Folic Acid, Niacin, Biotin and Inositol.
Minerals
Aloe Vera contains 13 of the 17 essential minerals (electrolytes), needed for proper nutritional balance, overall health and well-being and managing stress.
Soluble and insoluble fibre
Improve bowel regularity which can result in increased mobility, increase energy and assist weight management. Improved gastrointestinal function increases in protein absorption and helps to bring balance to energy and nutrition, bringing the opportunity for a more active, energised lifestyle.
Anti-viral and antiseptic properties
Fight Infections with minute amounts of anti-viral,antiseptic properties such as lupeaol, salicylic acid, urea nitrogen, cinnamonic acid, phenols and sulphur.
Increase resistance to ulcers, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, constipation, mild burns, eczema, mild digestive complaints, mild gastric conditions, sunburn and immune system complaints.
